Why Control Plane exists
Most organisations manage SHEQ across spreadsheets, paper forms, email threads and shared drives. Control Plane exists because that isn't good enough for something this important — and because SHEQ teams deserve software as capable as the rest of the business runs on.
What we believe
SHEQ software has traditionally meant one of two things: a heavyweight enterprise system that needs a dedicated administrator to run, or a collection of digital forms that replicate paper without solving the underlying problem. Neither gives a SHEQ team what it actually needs — a system that connects the work.
We believe SHEQ management should be operational, not administrative. A risk assessment, a training record, an inspection and a corrective action aren't separate pieces of paperwork — they're part of the same picture, and the software should treat them that way.
That belief shapes what we build: a platform simple enough for a SHEQ team to use without formal training, and serious enough for an IT department to support without reservations.
